Today i am removing the last of my Exchange 2003 servers and encountered this error while running the uninstall: setup failed while installing sub-component exchange activesync with error code 0x80072030
Quick check and the following services were stopped, so i started them and the uninstall ran until a point and gave me the same error:
SMTP
IIS Admin
World Wide Web
NTP
So what i ended up doing was running the uninstall directly from the CD and it worked. (make sure you run the uninstall with the administrator account)
